President of the Satpayev Kazakh National Technical University Zheksenbek Adilov announced after a meeting with French Ambassador to Kazakhstan Francis Etienne on Wednesday. "Kazakhstan plans to build two nuclear power plants. We would like to step up cooperation with France in that respect, since the country is the world's leader in the sphere of nuclear power. I hope that our bilateral cooperation will be fruitful taking into account France's extensive experience," Mr. Adilov said. He also added that a Kazakhstani satellite will be launched on April 28 from the Guiana Space Center near Kourou, France. "In the state-of-the-nation address your President stressed how important it is to develop education in order to boost Kazakhstan's economy. Joint projects implemented by the Kazakh National Technical University and France-based Schneider Electric fit the bill perfectly in that respect," the French diplomat noted.
