Final debates of seven parties conclude on 24KZ TV Channel

The final televised debates featuring leaders of all seven political parties have concluded on 24KZ TV Channel ahead of the elections to the Qurultay, Qazinform News Agency reports.

The main theme of the discussions was "From Economic Growth to Citizens' Well-Being."

The participants include:

  • Aibek Dadebay – Chairman of the Adilet Party

  • Askhat Rakhimzhanov – Chairman of the Nationwide Social Democratic Party

  • Azamatkhan Amirtayev – Chairman of the Baytaq Party

  • Nursultan Shokanov – Chairman of the People's Party of Kazakhstan

  • Kairat Aituganov – Chairman of the Auyl Party

  • Daniya Yespayeva – Chairman of the Ak Zhol Democratic Party

  • Aidarbek Khojanazarov – Chairman of the Respublica Party

The debates consisted of four rounds. In the first round, the leaders presented their key principles and positions, with each speaker given 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

The speaking order, determined by a draw, was as follows: Respublica, Baytaq, Ak Zhol, Adilet, Auyl, the Nationwide Social Democratic Party, and the People's Party of Kazakhstan.

In the second round, participants asked each other questions. Each party could choose one competitor, with no party being selected more than once. One minute was given for posing a question, and two minutes for the response.

The elections to the Qurultay are scheduled for August 23.

Kazakhstanis are to elect 145 Qurultay deputies for five-year terms. The CEC has registered candidate lists from seven political parties.
