Exhibition of well known Kazakh sculptor Akhmetov opened in Almaty

ALMATY. February 11. KAZINFORM A jubilee exhibition of well known Kazakh sculptor Rysbek Akhmetov (1942-1995) was opened in Almaty yesterday. More than 50 of his works were represented at the exposition.
As art historians noted, R.Akhmetov belongs to the generation of the first Kazakh professional artists who laid the foundations of the national industrial school in Kazakhstan. He created a large variety of works by genre.
The exhibition will run till February 24.
