Election results demonstrated willingness of people to support N. Nazarbayev
ALMATY. KAZINFORM - One of the reasons of stunning presidential election results is Kazakhstan was that people wanted to rally round their leader, representative of the Philosophy Institute, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Rustan Kadyrzhanov told in the interview to a Kazinform correspondent.
"On one side, the results were predictable. Nobody doubted the victory of the incumbent president of Kazakhstan, but few thought it would be stunning," he told.
"The high voter turnout can be partially explained by good work of the Central Election Commission. Besides, Nursultan Nazarbayev himself is a reason, he offered a transparent and clear election platform and held an active election campaign. Therefore, people demonstrated their willingness to rally round their leader once again," R. Kadyrzhanov said.
