EcoTech int’l exhibition takes place in Almaty
ALMATY. KAZINFORM - Almaty hosts the X Anniversary Central Asian international exhibition and forum on environmental technologies, waste management, industrial water treatment and "green" innovations EcoTech-2014.
The event has been participated by the companies from Britain, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Finland. "KazWaste" Kazakhstan Association of Waste Management partakes in the exhibition for the first time. It has presented more than 30 companies - leaders in the field of waste management, operating in all regions of our country. International conference "Development of infrastructure for waste disposal in Kazakhstan" was carried out within the framework of EcoTech-2014. The event discussed extended producers' responsibility to address the problem of municipal solid waste (MSW); circular economy - an innovative approach of waste production and consumption in Kazakhstan; solid waste management at industrial sites; solid waste processing; infrastructure for waste disposal including hospital wastes. The conference also presented the results of a joint project of UNDP, Kazakhstan Government and "Samsung Electronics Central Eurasia" company called "Management of e-waste". The exhibition will end on September 19. The event was organized by Kazakhstan exhibition company "Iteca", an international group of companies ITE Group Plc (UK), with the support of the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Education and Science, UNDP, Almaty city administration, as well as Kazakhstan National Chamber of Entrepreneurs.
