EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso to visit Uzbekistan for high-level talks

The President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Odile Renaud-Basso, is set to visit Uzbekistan from 17 to 19 June 2026 for meetings with senior government officials and foreign investors, ebrd.com reports.

According to an official statement, during her visit, the EBRD President will meet Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and hold bilateral meetings with other senior Uzbek officials.

She is also expected to co-chair a plenary session of the Foreign Investors Council.

The EBRD has invested almost US$ 6.9 billion (€6 billion) in Uzbekistan across 210 projects, with most of the funds supporting private entrepreneurship. The country has been the leading recipient of EBRD funding in Central Asia for each of the past six years.

Previously, it was reported that the EBRD and the Government of Kazakhstan signed a new Enhanced Partnership Framework Arrangement (EPFA) at the Bank’s 35th Annual Meeting in Riga, strengthening cooperation until 2030.
