Earthquake jolts Kyrgyz-Chinese border

An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the MPV scale was recorded southeast of Almaty city, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Centered on the Kyrgyz-Chinese border the quake was registered 272 km southeast of Almaty city.
It hit at a depth of 15km at 15:43 pm Almaty time. No tremors were felt across Kazakhstan.
