Earthquake hits 336km away from Almaty

The epicenter of the quake was in the territory of China, Kazinform News Agency learned from the National Seismic Center.
“The Seismic Stations Network of the Kazakh Ministry of Emergencies recorded the earthquake on December 30, 2024, at 02:52:53 am. The coordinates are 40.210° north latitude, and 77.490° east longitude. No tremors were felt in the territory of Kazakhstan,” a statement reads.
Earlier, an earthquake was recorded 88km away from Almaty city.
