Early presidential elections will give new impetus for development of Kazakhstan - A. Badanov
ALMATY. KAZINFORM - The idea of holding early presidential elections is really wise and timely, Professor Arzabek Badanov said.
According to him, these elections will give a new impetus for development of the country and help in implementation of "Nurly Zhol" policy and national plans and projects.
"In the context of the world geopolitical and economic instability we need to become even more united, we have to concentrated all our efforts on overcoming the negative influence of the world crisis on the economy of the country," he says.
The analysis of the economic situation in the country shows that the initiative on early presidential elections has two serious reasons in its favour. The first one is the legal part of the issue. The presidential and parliamentary elections cannot be held during the same year.
Obviously, the presidential elections are more important for the people of the country.
"The second reason is the economic situation in the world which impacts our country. Therefore, Kazakhstan needs to focus on addressing the economic issues. Foreseeing this situation, on the instruction of the President of Kazakhstan the Government has developed the new economic policy - Nurly Zhol, which is considered to be an anti-crisis program. Significant means are allocated from the National Fund for implementation of the program. The program is aimed at implementation of big infrastructural projects, development of small and medium-sized business, creation of jobs. One of its important parts has already been realized. The road connecting Atyrau, Turkmenistan, Iran and the Persian Gulf has been built. The road provides access for Kazakhstan to the international seaport and allows to conduct trades through the ice-free sea," A. Badanov noted.
Besides, Kazakhstan has started implementation of the second phase of the industrialization program. Presently, world industrial leaders work in our country in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Zhezkazgan, Balkhash, Pavlodar, Karaganda, and they contribute a lot to the GDP of Kazakhstan. Our country is deservedly considered one of the most prosperous countries of Central Asia.
