Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva cast her vote in today’s election of deputies to the Qurultay (Parliament) of Kazakhstan, Qazinform News Agency reports.
She voted in the National Academic Library.
“Despite rainy weather in Astana, voter turnout is strong. This demonstrates that citizens approach the country’s future with a sense of responsibility. We are fortunate as a people to have the opportunity to determine our own future. The same atmosphere was evident during the referendum. We know our values and priorities, and I believe this is thanks to the unity of our nation. We must cherish this and safeguard our stability,” Balayeva said.
Earlier, Qazinform reported that First Deputy Head of the President’s Executive Office Erlan Karin and former chairman of the Senate Maulen Ashimbayev cast ballots in the elections.
