Vieira said the two sides discussed expanding agricultural trade, including the supply of fertilizers and chemical components from Kazakhstan to Brazil.

"Kazakhstan is one of the world's largest fertilizer exporters, and Brazil is the second-largest food exporter in the world. There is enormous potential for cooperation here. Brazil imports approximately 40 million tons of fertilizers annually, so we believe we can increase our purchases from Kazakhstan," Vieira said at a press briefing.

He added that Brazil is interested in developing a sanitary and regulatory dialogue to facilitate access for Brazilian products to the Kazakh market and diversify food supplies.

The minister emphasized that Brazilian companies are already actively operating in Kazakhstan.

In his words, companies such as WEG, Embraer, and Watersheds Technologies are considered strategic partners, supplying modern technologies for mining, water management, and logistics sectors.

"We also discussed opportunities for industrial and technological cooperation, including Embraer's interest in expanding its presence in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. The company can offer aircraft for region’s aviation sector as well as KC-390 transport aircraft, to the Kazakh Armed Forces," the minister noted.

As part of the Brazilian Foreign Minister's visit to Astana, a business forum was held with representatives of government agencies and businesses from both countries.

The event ended with signing memoranda of understanding between the Ministries of Agriculture of Kazakhstan and Brazil in the field of livestock farming, as well as between KAZAKH INVEST and ApexBrasil.

As reported before, Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira arrived in Astana on an official visit and held talks with his Kazakh counterpart Yermek Kosherbayev.

Minister Kosherbayev announced that Kazakhstan and Brazil intend to increase trade turnover to $1 billion.

Kazakh and Brazilian companies are also discussing the launch of new agricultural projects, including the cultivation of organic soybeans in the steppes of Central Asia.
