The Silumin of Qazaqstan plant, built in the Saryarka Special Economic Zone, is designed for a full production cycle: from recycling aluminum scrap to manufacturing finished goods such as radiators, profiles, cables, household items, cookware, and lighting equipment.

Eco-friendly decoating technology will reduce emissions, while the use of secondary raw materials will lessen environmental impact and cut waste.

Plant director Nursultan Zhumabek noted that technologies were developed with input from institutes in Italy and Germany, ensuring efficiency and quality. He emphasized the importance of building a raw material base, partnering with universities, and expanding technological expertise to increase the added value of Kazakhstan’s aluminum industry.

Projected capacity is expected to reach 5.5 million radiator sections per year.

The plant is expected to create 250 jobs initially, up to 750 in the future.

The cluster is being developed under the KarTech project at Saginov KarTU, which will serve as a key partner. The university will help adapt foreign technologies, study mechanical properties, and train specialists — with graduates already working at the plant.

Earlier it was reported, Akmola region will build a grain deep-processing plant.
