Almaty welcomes 60 babies on Qurultay election day

A total of 60 babies were born in Almaty's medical facilities on August 23, 2026, the day of the Qurultay elections, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing the city akimat.
Between midnight and 7:00 p.m., the city welcomed 30 girls and 30 boys.
Patients and staff at maternity hospitals and other healthcare facilities under the Almaty Public Health Department also took part in the vote.
For many families, August 23 was a particularly memorable day, combining a major political event with the joy of welcoming a new family member.
Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that the Central Election Commission announced preliminary Qurultay election results.
