Almaty underground equipped with metal detectors

"The new detectors at the underground are an extra layer of security for passengers," said press secretary of the Almaty city underground Aigul Yeshmagambetova. 5 million passengers used the underground in 2012, 6.3 million - in 2013, and 6.8 million - in 2014. Two new stations Sairan and Moskva are to be commissioned this year.
