Almaty to host Asian Ice Hockey Championship

Almaty will for the first time in history host the Asian Ice Hockey Championship under the aegis of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), Kazinform News Agency reports citing Olympic.kz.
The tournament is set to run on November 6-9 at the Halyk Arena Ice Palace.
Kazakhstan’s national hockey team will face teams from Japan, South Korea and China.
The Asian Women's Ice Hockey Championship will be held in Beijing, China, from October 31 through November 3. The event will feature teams of Kazakhstan, Japan, South Korea and China.
Recall that the upcoming tournaments will serve as preparatory competitions for the 2025 Asian Winter Games scheduled to take place in Harbin, China, on February 7-14.
