Almaty mayor receives consuls general of U.S., Hungary

Mayor Yessimov congratulated Ms Grencik on her appointment and wished success in her work. He stressed that historically Almaty has had constructive and friendly relations with the U.S. diplomatic mission. "Almaty is open to everyone from mass media to political organizations," the mayor said. During the meeting with the U.S. Consul General, the sides touched upon the situation related to the perimeter security measure near the House of Army in Almaty. Ms. Grencik said the U.S. Consulate General will look into the matter.

Mr. Yessimov also briefed the American diplomat on the economic, ecological and other projects being implemented in Almaty.

With Consul General of Hungary, Mayor Yessimov discussed various spheres of cooperation and further development of bilateral relations.
