The event, running from June 15 to 21, has brought together players under 18 from Kazakhstan and around the world.

The tournament is part of the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors calendar and offers participants the opportunity to earn International Tennis Federation ranking points, which are essential for advancing in the global junior rankings.

The competition features boys’ and girls’ singles and doubles events. The main singles draw includes 48 players in each of the boys’ and girls’ competitions, while the qualifying draw features 32 boys and 24 girls. In doubles, 24 pairs will compete for the titles.

Hosting international junior tournaments in Kazakhstan provides local players with valuable experience competing at a high international level and allows them to earn ITF ranking points on home courts. These events play an important role in preparing young athletes for the transition to professional senior tennis.

Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that Kazakhstani tennis player Alexander Shevchenko had lost in the final of the Challenger tournament in Slovakia.
