Almaty, E Kazakhstan on alert due to avalanche warning

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - Emergency authorities in Almaty city and East Kazakhstan region say that there is a possibility of avalanches in the snow laden slopes of local mountains on March 30-31.
Locals and guests should avoid venturing out into those areas.
"It is highly recommended to avoid avalanche prone areas in Almaty city and East Kazakhstan region," the statement reads.
