Almaty budget for 2014
ALMATY. December 20. KAZINFORM - Almaty mayor Akhmetzhan Yesimov chaired the 23rd meeting of the city's maslikhat (representative body) that approved the Almaty three-year budget for 2014-2016, Almaty mayor's press service informs.
With account of transfers from the national budget, the Almaty budget for 2014 was approved in the amount of 373 billion 937 million tenge, whereas the actual disposable budget of Almaty is 303 billion 207 million tenge. The draft budget for the upcoming triennium has been drawn up with account of the baseline forecast of macroeconomic indicators.
The mayor noted the city's growing economy and tax revenues, which also contribute to the budget of Almaty.
"We started 2013 with the city's budget worth 235 billion tenge. During the year, we have revised it six times and as of the end of the year it turned out to be 357 billion 927 million tenge. In the coming 2014 year, we'll have 303 billion tenge of the real disposable budget, which is a good figure, we've never had so good growth before,"- said A.Yesimov.
The mayor also said that through the city growth and creation of an industrial zone, its economy will be boosting, which means new jobs and more revenue to the city's purse.
