Almaty bids farewell to Weekender Festival

ALMATY. August 12. KAZINFORM The 3rd City Weekender Festival that unites fashionable and creative youth came to an end in Almaty this weekend.
The festival seeks to develop new forms of city leisure and contribute to the cultural life of Almaty.
Live performances of musicians, open-air games, art installations, short features and a handmade fair were a part of the 2013 festival.
The Almaty event is a launching pad for local creative projects and a venue for indie rock bands from Russia, Ukraine and Great Britain.
The first festival took place in July 2012 with 1000 people in attendance. This year's event brought together 2 500 guests.
