Almaty Akim and Bombardier Inc discuss transport development in the city

The sides discussed questions of transport infrastructure development of Almaty city. Yesimov noted the major projects in the sphere, in particular, the construction of metro station and transfer of transports to gas fuel. "More than 250,000 cars come to Almaty from the suburbs. Therefore, it is important to create a transport infrastructure with suburban areas. This will reduce the load on the main highway of Almaty and will have a positive impact on environment", Yesimov said. In his turn, CEO Pierre Beaudoin briefed about the main activities of the company highlighting the Bombardier's rich experience in launching transport networks. The CEO expressed readiness to cooperate with Almaty in this area. The Bombardier Inc is a Canadian multinational aerospace and transportation company. Within its working visit, the delegation has also met with the President of Kazakhstan in Astana on February 26.
