4.9 magnitude quake jolts China

The network of seismic stations of the Kazakh Emergency Situations Ministry recorded an earthquake at 10:34 a.m., on February 12, Kazinform News Agency reports.
It was centered 259 km southeastwards of Almaty in the territory of China.
The energy class is 10.8. the MPV magnitude earthquake occurred at a depth of 15 km. No tremors were felt in Kazakhstan, it said in a statement.
