33yo Uzbek woman detained with 5kg of heroin

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - Almaty police officers have detained a citizen of Uzbekistan with large amounts of heroin the total weight of which, according to the forensic chemical examination, was 5 kg.17 grams.

The 33-year-old woman was selling deadly powder at both retail and wholesale, according to the press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of the city. The woman sold one gram of heroin for KZT 9000. The woman was caught red-handed. Police officers have inspected the rented accommodation of the citizen of Uzbekistan. In the kitchen under the sink search dogs found 10 plastic bags with heroin. In the bedroom policemen uncovered a package of marijuana weighing 4.09 grams. As it was found out the detainee had criminal records before. In 2004 and 2009 she was twice deprived of her liberty for possession and sale of narcotics. Last year the woman was released from jail. The woman reportedly was part of the drug scene. Currently she has been put into a temporary detention center of Almaty. The investigation is underway.
