The network of seismic stations recorded an earthquake on February 24 at 04:58 a.m. 276 km southeastwards of Almaty in the territory of China, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The energy class is 13.6 the 6.1 MPV magnitude quake occurred at a depth of 5 km.
3 Magnitude aftershock was felt in Almaty city.
