16-year-old Kazakh tennis player claims two titles at ITF J60 tournament in Tunisia

The ITF J60 junior tournament on clay has concluded in Carthage, Tunisia, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.

Kazakhstani tennis player Tomiris Nurzhan, seeded second, had a successful week in both singles and doubles. In the singles final, she defeated top seed Nadine Hamrouni of Tunisia in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3.

In the doubles event, Tomiris Nurzhan partnered with Tunisia’s Melek Gamaoun. In the final, the Kazakh-Tunisian pair defeated France’s Neyrouz Meriem Godbane and Tunisia’s Nour Sanoun, winning 4-6, 6-3, 10-8.

As a result, 16-year-old Tomiris Nurzhan completed a title double, winning both the singles and doubles titles.

Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that Kazakh tennis player Tomiris Nurzhan had won the ITF Juniors J60 tournament in Algeria.
