World No. 337 Zhibek Kulambayeva of Kazakhstan secured a victory in the 1/8 finals of the W35 Solapur 2024 Tennis Tournament in India, Kazinform News Agency cites Olympic.kz.
The Kazakh tennis player defeated Ekaterina Kazionova (ranked 545th) of Russia with a score of 6:4, 7:5.
Kulambayeva’s next opponent is Diana Marcinkevica of Latvia in the quarterfinals.
The W35 Solapur 2024 Tennis Tournament is scheduled to run on December 9-15 in India.
