Zhetygen-Korgas railway line to be able to cope with increase in cargo traffic volumes

ASTANA. January 19. KAZINFORM After the commissioning of the International Centre for Cross-Border Cooperation "Horgos" the volumes of cargo traffic will increase, a new line "Zhetygen-Korgas", which became the second railway transit between Kazakhstan and China, will be able to cope with it, according to the Kazakh Premier's website http://pm.kz
The Kazakh Government pays great attention to expansion of trade routes of Kazakhstan. The railway line "Zhetygen-Korgas" gives an impetus to growth of competitiveness of economy of the country by export and transit potential.
The railway line was officially opened on December 9, 2011.
