Kazakhstan’s Yulia Putintseva, world no.64, has advanced to the quarterfinal of the WTA 250 singles tennis tournament in Hobart, Australia, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.
Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan beat Marie Bouzková of the Czech Republic, ranked 35th in the world, in the three-set match 6-4, 1-6, 6-3.
The Kazakhstani second-seeded made two double faults and won seven points and three games in a row during the match that lasted for two hours and 18 minutes.
