YTD 5 billion tenge allocated for housing construction in N Kazakhstan

"In Jan-Oct of the current year, for housing construction in the North-Kazakhstan region has been allocated KZT 4 907.1 million or 100.5% compared to Jan-Oct 2013," the statement reads. To date 506 apartments with a total area of 64,732 square meters have been put into operation. A significant proportion of housing (92.2%) was commissioned at the expense of the population. At the expense of the national budget under "Employment Program 2020" 43 apartments of rental housing were commissioned with total area of 3083 square meters.

Construction of housing in rural areas is rapidly growing too. Thus, over 10 months of the current year, in the areas there have been commissioned 29,860 square meters of housing, which is 124% in comparison with the same period of 2013.
