Youth of Astana meets with reps of Spiritual Directorate of Muslims

At the conference they touched upon basic directions of the religion, its destination for a person and the role of the youth in the state life. Also the participants of the conference called the youth to improve religious education and not to join nonconventional religious movements.

“The youth is active part of our society, the operating force of the state. At the moment new nonconventional Islamic movements appear in the world, and young people need to apprehend and separate the true destination of the Islam. We call our youth to preserve traditional principles of the Islam, adhere to faith and develop cultural and spiritual values”. - said the chief mufti of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chairman of the Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kazakhstan Erzhan Mayamerov.

The purpose of the held event was to promote main religious values, to improve religious education among young people, to determine main tasks of the Letter from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the implementation of the Strategy “Kazakhstan-2050”, to prevent development of destructive movements, and to promote tolerance and patriotism amongst the young generation.

The conference involved the chief mufti of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chairman of the Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kazakhstan Erzhan Mayamerov, public figures, deputies, specialists of religion, and Olympic champion Bakhtiyar Artayev. Upon completion of the conference a concert was organized for the youth with the participation of the famous singer, participant of MuzART band Meirambek Bespayev.
