Year of Germany in Kazakhstan gave impetus to relations between our states - Consul General G. Amelung

The diplomat expressed gratitude to all Kazakhstan's media which covered all the activities conducted during the year. "More than 100 activities reflecting the modern life, culture, science, education and economy of Germany were held in the regions of Kazakhstan. We have reached the goal - gave a new impetus to our relations and increased interest in learning the German language", the Consul noted.

According to him, the major events were the German-Kazakh Economic Forum in Astana with the participation of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, International Congress for Education at the Al Farabi Kazakh National University, conference on renewable energy sources. "Agreements and contracts totaling Euro 2 billion were signed following the economic forum. Businessmen of the two states established new contacts", Mr. Amelung emphasized.
