Yanukovich to be Ukraine’s next president – exit polls

KIEV. February 8. KAZINFORM Party of Regions leader Viktor Yanukovich will be the fourth president of Ukraine, judging by exit polls, Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
Yanukovich gained from 48.7% to 50.26% of votes in the February 7 round, while Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko gained from 44.2% to 45.6%.
The Central Elections Commission will announce preliminary results on Monday morning, while the official results will be posted within ten days, Kazinform cites Itar-Tass. See www.itar-tass.com
