X Interregional Cooperation Forum of Russia and Kazakhstan starts in Yekaterinburg
Today, as the Customs Union and is preparing for the launch of the Eurasian Economic Union, Kazakhstan attaches special importance to the work of filling the driving force of these processes, that is to increase mutual trade. In the first eight months of this year, it amounted to 15.2 billion dollars, of which 70% is accounted for by inter-regional cooperation.
However, while developing trade it is essential to create the conditions for the expansion of share of domestic exports of goods. In this case, a key priority is cooperation not only among border regions, but local producers and output to the central and outlying regions of Russia.
Much work in this area rests with the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia, located on the forefront of bilateral cooperation. This year, as part of the instructions of the Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev to strengthen economic integration in the Union space concrete practical arrangements have been achieved which are opening direct access to our companies to the Russian market.
