X Interregional Cooperation Forum of Russia and Kazakhstan starts in Yekaterinburg

MOSCOW. November 9. KAZINFORM - Ekaterinburg hosts a two-day anniversary X Forum of Interregional Cooperation of Russia and Kazakhstan with the participation of the Presidents of the two states. It provides an opportunity to verify the key positions and identify further areas for bilateral cooperation. One of the important items on the agenda of the upcoming meeting will be the signing of the Treaty of Good-neighborliness and Alliance of Kazakhstan and Russia in the XXI century.

Today, as the Customs Union and is preparing for the launch of the Eurasian Economic Union, Kazakhstan attaches special importance to the work of filling the driving force of these processes, that is to increase mutual trade. In the first eight months of this year, it amounted to 15.2 billion dollars, of which 70% is accounted for by inter-regional cooperation.

However, while developing trade it is essential to create the conditions for the expansion of share of domestic exports of goods. In this case, a key priority is cooperation not only among border regions, but local producers and output to the central and outlying regions of Russia.

Much work in this area rests with the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia, located on the forefront of bilateral cooperation. This year, as part of the instructions of the Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev to strengthen economic integration in the Union space concrete practical arrangements have been achieved which are opening direct access to our companies to the Russian market.
