WWII veteran to celebrate 90th anniversary on V-Day

ALMATY. KAZINFORM World War II veteran Kaman Kassenov will celebrate this May 9 his 90th birthday anniversary in Almaty.
18-year-old Kaman was sent to the Khabarovsk naval fleet base in July, 1942. Back to 1945 he participated in the operations against militarist Japan. Later in 1946-1950 he served in the armoured boat troop. Kaman Kassenov was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd Class, medals for the Victory over Japan, and others.
