Wrestler from Abai region grabs Qazaqstan Barysy 2024 title

On October 26, Astana hosted the XIII Qazaqstan Barysy Republican Tournament in Qazaq Kuresi dedicated to the Republic Day. The event brought together the best wrestlers of the country selected in the regional competitions, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Yerassyl Kazhybayev from Abai region grabbed this year's Qazaqstan Barysy title. Yersultan Muzapparov from Shymkent took second place and the third place went to Sayat Shamshiyev from Abai region.
42 wrestlers representing 17 regions and three cities - Astana, Almaty, Shymkent - competed in the event.
The cash prize of the tournament totaled 27.1 million tenge, 3.72 million tenge of which was awarded to coaches.
