World structures including CICA gain great importance in countering modern challenges and threats - President

ALMATY OBLAST. July 17. KAZINFORM /Rassul Bakhamov/ The informal meetings of the presidents and high officials of eight largest structures of the world including the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) are attached great importance in countering modern challenges and threats, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev considers so.
"The entire world faces today such challenges as nationalism and religious extremism, accompanied by terrorism, drug-trafficking and trans-national crime and other problems of modernity", N. Nazarbayev reminded. Alongside, some of these problems were left unattended and the threats to certain region in any case are interconnected with the world security issues", the Kazakh President said.
"We should admit that it is impossible to develop one policy for Europe and another one for Asia. In a long-term plan stability on this space can be ensured through establishment of a Trans-Asian security system", N. Nazarbayev stated.
