World Bank, IMF to hold 2015 annual meetings in Peru

WASHINGTON. September 15. KAZINFORM The 2015 Annual Meetings of the World Bank and its sister agency the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will take place in Lima, Peru in October 2015, the Washington-based World Bank announced Friday, according to Xinhua.
The last time the Annual Meetings of the two organizations were held in Latin America was in 1967 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the World Bank said in a statement.
The annual meetings of the two agencies, which bring together finance ministers and central bank governors from the two institutions' 188 members, provide an opportunity for a broad dialogue on issues of global economic importance.
The 2012 annual meetings of the two agencies are scheduled to take place in Tokyo, Japan in October.
