Workshop on Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship held in Vilnius

ASTANA. January 27. KAZINFORM The Kazakh Embassy in Vilnius held workshop titled "Priorities of the Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship and cooperation with Lithuania within the OSCE Troika". Representatives of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry, expert and analytical organizations, representatives of the Lithuanian mass media took part in the workshop, Kazinform refers to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

Kazakh Ambassador Galymzhan Koishybayev informed on priorities of the Kazakhstan's chairmanship. It was noted that Kazakhstan expresses its intention to contribute to the strengthening of the European security, development of the transit-transport potential, stabilization of Afghanistan and promotion of interethnic and religious tolerance. The Kazakh Diplomat expressed hope that the OSCE member state will support the initiative of Kazakhstan on the top level meeting this year.

Lithuanian Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-office Vytautas Nauduzas stressed the importance of development of the transport-transit potential and informed on the planned activities of Lithuania within the OSCE on this dimension.

Ambassador at Large at the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry Alfonsas Eidintas briefed the participants of the meeting on the joint work of our countries in the OSCE Troika and process of preparation of Lithuania to the chairmanship in the Organization.
