Workshop on issues of people with disabilities held in Astana

ASTANA. October 9. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The UNDP in Kazakhstan together with the Kazakh Federation for Disabled People under the auspices of the Kazakh Ministry of Labor and Social Protection held a workshop on the issues of job placement and employment of people with disabilities.
Kazakh Vice Minister of Labor and Social Protection Assel Nusupova noted in her speech that the Ministry lays emphasis on cooperation with non-governmental organizations in protection of rights of people with disabilities and broaden options for their employment.
"Big work on ratification of the Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities will be done soon. We invite everyone to open dialogue on development of measures based on international standards in order to ratify and implement the Convention properly", A.Nusupova said.
