Women’s role and rights in modern society discussed in Atyrau

The seminar participants considered a set of issues concerning women's rights; analyzed legislation promotion of rights and potential of women, international responsibilities of Kazakhstan within the UN and OSCE ratified documents on promotion of gender equality.

A peculiar attention was paid to the participation of women in election process as one of the elements of attainment of gender equality, as well as the issues of domestic violence and possibilities of women to protect their rights.

The seminar was held on the initiative of Zherles public foundation in Atyrau.
