Wind turbines to produce 'green' energy for EXPO-2017 pavilions in Astana

ASTANA. July 31. KAZINFORM A large wind power station is expected to be built in Akmola region, acting chairman of JSC "KazMunaiGas" Daniyar Berlibayev said at a meeting on the first halfyear results of work of the subsidiaries of JSC "Samruk-Kazyna" on Wednesday. It will generate 'green' energy for EXPO-2017 facilities in Astana.

"The new 300-megawatt wind power station will be constructed in Erementau district of Akmola region. This object is to produce the green energy for EXPO facilities. The construction works are being implemented in line with the schedule," Mr. Berlibayev added.

The construction process is believed to be completed next year. According to D. Berlibayev, the state-of-the-art equipment produced in Germany will be used at the wind power station.
