WHO Regional Office for Europe and Kazakh Health Ministry endorse coop agreement
TCA reflects the new Vision of WHO EURO - improving health in Europe, as well as concepts, principles and values that underpin the European health policy under "Health -2020", which was adopted by the 62nd Session of the Regional Committee.
The policy of "Health 2020 " is designed to maximize opportunities for health promotion. At its core the emphasized is the need to improve the overall governance for health, suggested are the ways and approaches to health development, providing reinforcement of the principles of fairness, sustainability and accountability.
The European Region of the World Health Organization includes 900 million people living in 53 Member States. They have agreed to cooperate with renewed vigour to improve health, equity and wellbeing by adopting the European Health 2020 policy framework.
The values of Health 2020 are full recognition and application of the human right to health, solidarity, fairness and sustainability. These values incorporate a number of other principles that are deeply valued within the European Region, namely universality, equity, the right to participate in decision-making, dignity, autonomy, non-discrimination, gender equity, transparency and accountability. All these values underpin Health 2020.
The cooperation program has been elaborated to meet the specific needs of the country, as well as regional and global initiatives and vision of WHO. It promotes formation of a common strategic direction of cooperation and serves as a basis for targeted joint activities to achieve a number of selected priority outcomes that are considered enforceable and of importance to improve the health situation .
