Amanzhol Zhankuliyev, governor of Akmola oblast Sergey Dyachenko, governor of Almaty region Anzar Mussakhanov and governor of Zhambyl oblast Kanat Bozumbayev took the oath.
Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated them on taking the oath and noted that the oath had always been a sacred thing for all nations and it was really special for the Kazakhs.
"I wish all state bodies remembered every word from the oaths they take. In this case they will be closer to ordinary people and they understand problems and needs of people," N. Nazarbayev added.
The II Mining and Metallurgical Congress "Astana Mining and Metallurgy" has been held in Astana on July 4-5. It brings together above 1,300 participants from 25 states of the world - Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, USA, Great Britain, Ukraine, Turkey, UAE, Switzerland, Slovakia, Spain, Russia, Latvia, Kyrgyzstan, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Czechia, China, Canada, Belarus, Austria, Korea, India, South Africa. Within the congress there were signed six key memorandums of cooperation in the field of mining and metallurgical sector.
Delivering an opening address Prime Minister Karim Massimov told about the public measures to support the country's mining and metallurgical industry. He promised that the Government will fight for competitiveness of the mining and metallurgical sector of Kazakhstan.
"We understand that new investments in the mining and metallurgical sector are risk-laden, capital-intensive and long-term event. I am confident that holding this forum will be a continuation of a dialog, elaboration of proposals on solution of the sector's problems," K.Massimov said.
The Premier reminded that the Cabinet adopted program of the mining and metallurgical sector development till 2014. the Prime Minister added that last year within the Industrialization Map more then 150 new enterprises were opened, over 23,000 jobs created. This year it is planned to launch about 200 projects amounting to about KZT 730 mln, create 40,000 jobs.
20% of Kazakhstan's export account for mining and smelting enterprise products," Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Albert Rau said during the session on "State regulation" within the Astana Mining & Metallurgy congress.
Last year it made USD 8 bln that is 39% more against the post-crisis year of 2009.
He emphasized that participation of delegates from 25 countries demonstrates interest of the international community in Kazakhstan as a state with its investment climate and development dynamics.
On July 4 Prime Minister Karim Massimov has presented Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev main events held within the Industrial-Innovation Forum.
The program of the forum included "Kazakhstan's content-2011" exhibition, presentation of 75 projects of the Industrialization Map, teleconference with the country's regions.
Within the forum the President surveyed the exhibition. More than 150 national companies and enterprises took part in it.
The governors presented to the Head of State 75 investment facilities of the Industrialization Map amounting to KZT 114 bln.
