We will expand number of CU participants - V. Putin

SAINT PETERSBURG. May 21. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ We will expand the number of participants of the Customs Union, primarily, at the expense of the EurAsEC member countries. Russian Premier Vladimir Putin said at the session of the EurAsEC Interstate Council held in an extended format in Saint Petersburg today.
"As far as I know, almost all members of the EurAsEC wish to join the Customs union. We will work together in this direction", V. Putin noted.
By 2012 Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus are expected to move to a higher level of integration within the Customs Union - the Single Economic Space, which provides for signing several documents regarding coordination of economic policies.
