We rejoice in all achievements of brotherly Kazakhstan - Konya Turkish province governor M. Erol
Festivities were launched by the official opening of the Kazakh cultural center in the city of Konya. Ambassador Zh.Tuimebaev that opened the institution, noted the importance of promoting the rich material and spiritual culture of the Kazakh people. He thanked the leadership of the province of Konya for their support and assistance to representatives of the Kazakh Diaspora in the region. The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the district administration Meram Kenanoglu Irfan, head of Kazakh cultural center Abdullah Ucar, public and political figures of the province, representatives of the Kazakh Diaspora and residents of the area.
Province of Konya is a home to about 80 families of ethnic Kazakhs and to more than 60 students from Kazakhstan. Turkish Kazakhs are the most adapted to the conditions of the diaspora's country of residence. Turkey for Kazakh diaspora is the closest in cultural, religious, and linguistic conditions.
Ambassador Zh.Tuimebaev highlighted the main achievements of Kazakhstan's independence and the state of bilateral relations. He also stressed that due to the far-sighted policy of President Nursultan Nazarbayev there had been created a solid foundation of statehood and democratic institutions.
In his speech at the reception governor of the province of Konya M.Erol praised Kazakhstan's achievements in such a short period after independence. He noted with satisfaction that relations between Turkey and Kazakhstan had been developing in all directions.
"We rejoice in all the achievements of the brotherly Kazakhstan, which is a major initiator of many very important integration processes, both at regional and international scales", concluded Governor M.Erol.
The participants were presented with a video on the achievements of Kazakhstan 's independence, a photo exhibition on the Kazakh-Turkish relations and exhibition of books translated into Turkish, including selected works of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The events generated wide public interest in the region of Konya.
