We pay great significance to Kazakhstan as economic and business partner - Cyprian Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism

ALMATY. September 30. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilyinskaya/ Within the framework of an official visit of Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Cyprus Antonis Paschalides there was held a business forum entitled "Cyprus: international business and financial center. Cooperation prospects between Cyprus and Kazakhstan" in Almaty. The organizers - Commerce and Industry chambers of the two countries - signed a cooperation agreement within the forum.

It was noted that the main purpose of bilateral meetings is discussion of prospects of cooperation development in the trade-economic sphere between Kazakhstan and Cyprus.

"Cyprus pays great significance to Kazakhstan as an economic and business partner, and this visit lays the groundwork for closer cooperation in the future. This will promote new jobs creation, business activity improvement and welfare growth of the two countries", Mr.Paschalides said. He called the Kazakh business community for a direct dialogue and for joint activity on products promotion in the tourism sector.

"250 joint enterprises are registered in Kazakhstan with Cyprian participation. We hope that the Cooperation Agreement signed with Commerce and Industry Chamber of Cyprus will allow to strengthen trade-economic partnership and increase volume of investment projects between the two states", head of the Kazakh Commerce and Industry Chamber Yerlan Kozhasbay said.

The Cyprian business delegation familiarized the Kazakh entrepreneurs with a wide sector of professional and business services.
