We need common desire to join hands and live without dividing lines in difficult periods - Marc Perrin de Brichambaut
"We should also develop an action plan on Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian security which could be submitted for consideration at the summit. The Corfu process is a good basis for this and time came to define priority issues in order to reach a consensus", he noted.
According to the OSCE Secretary General, "all of these must not be divorced from reality". Besides, an agreement on deployment of the OSCE police advisory group in Kyrgyzstan must be concluded and involvement of the OSCE in rehabilitation of Afghanistan must be enhanced. "These are quite urgent issues. Our Organization has showed its ability to revive and act efficiently in connection with the situation in Kyrgyzstan. All components of the OSCE acted simultaneously", he stressed.
"All organizations demonstrated importance of using instruments simultaneously. In the nearest time we must act in the same way in order to draft the agenda of the forthcoming summit. We need a common desire to join hands and live without dividing lines which will let make the OSCE a live heritage, create a common community of common security indivisible in the entire Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian continent. This is a choice and a chance as well. We are grateful to Kazakhstan as the OSCE presiding country for the opportunity to hold such discussion", Marc Perrin de Brichambaut concluded.
