We must leave spirit of our historical relationship to our descendants - Majilis Speaker U.Mukhamedzhanov

ASTANA. April 7. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ We must leave spirit of our historical relationship, common thoughts and common hopes for our descendants. Majilis Chairman Ural Mukhamedzhanov has said it at the International Parliamentary Conference dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War; the House's press service informs of it.

"The World War II was the most terrible and murderous war in the human history, which dragged the whole planet into the circulation and claimed tens of millions of lives. People of the Soviet Union are the most war-affected. They lost over 27 mln people. Dozens of thousands of cities, towns and villages, about 32, 000 industrial enterprises were destroyed; millions were left without a roof over their heads. The country lost about 30 percent of the national wealth", the Speaker said.

According to U.Mukhamedzhanov, "it is our common history, common trouble, common pride and common victory".

Talking about Kazakhstan's participation in the Great Patriotic War, the Speaker reminded that the country sent 12 rifle and 4 cavalry divisions, 7 rifle and 2 marine rifle brigades, and about 50 separate regiment and battalions from different arms to the front line. The famous 316th rifle division under command of Major General Ivan Panfilov was formed in Kazakhstan.
