We have the right to enrich uranium, S. Jalili
"In Moscow we have declared that Iran is ready to take steps toward cooperation. One of those steps touched upon the talks held in Geneva three years ago, and there we said that we needed fuel for the reactor. Unfortunately, we failed to get fuel, so we ourselves had to get the fuel. That meant that we had been forced to produce 20 percent fuel ourselves to provide fuel for the reactor. We have a right for that," added S. Jalili. He also stated that one of the important conditions to earn the trust of the Iranian people is the lack of pressure.
"Confrontational attitude should be laid aside", said S. Jalili.
It should be recalled that on February 26 in Almaty there began a two-day meeting aimed at discussing the Iranian nuclear program. The talks are attended by representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the EU and six world powers - the U.S., Russia, France, Britain and Germany.
The talks will continue in Istanbul on March 18-19, followed by the 5 +1 meeting with Iran on April 5-6 in Almaty.
