We consider Serbia as important political and economic partner in Balkans - Majilis Chairman U.Mukhamedzhanov

Kazakh Majilis Chairman Ural Mukhamedzhanov has said it during a meeting with President of Serbia Boris Tadic.

"Your visit will lay foundation of expansion and deepening of the Kazakhstani-Serbian trade-economic, political and humanitarian relations", U.Mukhamedzhanov said.

He noted that Kazakhstan considers Serbia as an important political and economic partner in the Balkans.

The Speaker expressed hope for successful accession of Serbia to the European Union in the nearest time and that Serbia will be a reliable partner of Kazakhstan in the EU structure.

The issues regarding economic and political cooperation between the two states were discussed at the meeting. U.Mukhamedzhanov emphasized, that Kazakhstan supports Serbia in the issue on the status of Kosovo.
